According to Nielsen SoundScan, Taylor sold 190,000 physical singles and another 38,000 digital downloads of the track.

Carrie Underwood's "Inside Your Heaven" sold a combined 169,000 units in its first full week last year. Fantasia's "I Believe" moved 142,000 and Kelly Clarkson sold 236,000 of "A Moment Like This." Season two runner-up Clay Aiken scored the No. 1 spot with "This Is the Night" with a whopping 393,000, staving off winner Ruben Studdard's "Flying Without Wings" (286,000). As a whole, American Idol landed three bachelors on People Magazine’s hottest bachelors list. Joining Taylor Hicks on the list were fellow American Idol 5 finalist Ace Young and American Idol host Ryan Seacrest.

I've listened to both songs about 25 times today - they are awesome and I can't wait for Taylor to drop his Soul Patrol CD in a few months - the two singles are great but can you imagine the soul that is going to be injected into his album! I've also been listening to Chris and Katharine's music which can be downloaded here, but I'm still Taylor Hicks all the way.

According to MTV.com it looks like Taylor Hicks will release a two song single CD featuring "Do I Make You Proud" and "Takin' It to the Streets." Taylor's CD will be released June 13, 2006.
